Currently, this is an amazingly fun, non-cookie cutter residence that's also handicapped accessible. But there's a fascinating history to this place. It actually started as a schoolhouse, and then spent some time as the Wuori Town Hall, and eventually a senior center. It's still zoned for multi-use and has its own sound stage, so it could transform once again into, perhaps, a funky craft brewery, or a destination restaurant. The current owners have done a lot of restoration work, including custom crown molding and pine countertops. And the laundry facilities, toilets and sewer line have all been updated. Just ten minutes from downtown Virginia and 20 minutes from Lake Vermillion, you're still close to multiple shopping and dining options, but surrounded by the Superior National Forest. The Wuori Township offers tons of free amenities to its residents, and telecommuters will especially love the high speed broadband….coming this summer!
